National Institute For Emergency Medicine hosted the  10th Annual National Conference of  Emergency Medicine   “Movement of Emergency Medical Service Quality Cycle”

National Institute For Emergency Medicine hosted the 10th Annual National Conference of Emergency Medicine   “Movement of Emergency Medical Service Quality Cycle”took place from March 30 to April 1, 2016.

Mr.. Thawatchai Soontharachan, Deputy Minister of Health emphasized that Thailand's emergency medical system could help people both in normal and disaster setting. Public education on first aid could increase a chance of emergency’s patient survival. The development of standardized emergency medical care system could serve everyone at best and equally.

Mr.Thawatchai Soontharachan, the Deputy Minister of Health, honorably chaired the opening ceremony of the National Conference. He said that this conference was for all emergency medical parties, network, private sector and personnel from across the country. Our common goals and missions were  to deliver an effective treatment for all emergency needs in both normal setting and when a disaster took place. The operation started  from receiving an emergency  call, getting out to the scene for rescue, until patients were stabilized, this connection saved lives and rprevented them from being disabled. The National conference consisted of meetings, discussions, exhibitions, and seminars connecting all participants to share ideas and learn about one another to progress the emergency medicine quality nowadays.

The national conference had been held consecutivelyfor10 yearswhich reflected how stable Thai emergency medicine had been, and also indicated the increasing of the cooperation among the emergency medicine partners and networks. As a result, Thais felt more secured that whenever they needed assistant in case of emergency, they were ensured that help was on the way.

However, everybody needed to be properly trained or learn the basic principle of CPR to be able to provide first aid which increasing chances of survival during the eight minutes before the rescuers arrive. Another mission in cooperation with agencies and several sectors was to reduce injury and illness of public as much as possible.

Mr. Anuchar Sethasathien M.D. , the secretary general of the National Institute of Emergency Medical said that the  National Conference of Emergency Medicine helped promote develop, and encouraged medical emergency personnel to conduct more research and  contributed new knowledge  the public.

 It was also the opportunities for emergency medical personnel both from central and regional to meet and exchange ideas and knowledge, of which would lead to the development and creation of academic networks as well as improve the quality of emergency medical services. In addition, to promote the public awareness and prevention in the event of emergency. As well as a forum to honor individuals and organizations that has an outstanding medical emergency service performance.

National Institute of Emergency Medicine had been playing an important role in promoting Emergency Medicine Act B.E. 2551, which aimed to serve equal and standard quality emergency medical service in all provinces in Thailand. As well as, to  immediately response in  case of emergency   24/7, to protect both the patients and  the safety on the job of the medical providers
