National Institute for Emergency Medicine and Mae Sot hospital reported to Mae Sot District Police department regarding 1699 Emergency Hotline prank call. More than 5,000 prank calls have been made in 9 months in the district of Mae Sot which is 4^th rank in the country and negatively impact in delaying on rescue operation.

            On July 1, 2016, the Mr. Salawoot Herabat, Director of Bureau of Emergency Medicine System Management along with officials from National Institute for Emergency Medicine, doctors and nurses from Mae Sot Hospital in Tak bring all evidence such as Emergency Phone Caller ID to file a police complaint against prank and false emergency calls.

             Emergency staffs including nurses said that there have been both group of adolescents and adults including a minority group of people living in Mae Sot making more than 100 times of prank and false emergency calls in 24 hours. Consequently, it has caused a huge complication and make an impact on emergency service to public in the area. The actual emergency calls could not get through due to those bogus calls, especially, Mae Sot was ranked as the fourth highest number of 1669 emergency prank calls in the country.             

Initially, after the police report has been filed, police asking for cooperation from the major Mobile Network Service Provider to subpoena the phone call records in order to make an arrest and prosecute them as soon as possible.
