The National institute for Emergency medicine andNational Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department have signed the MOU to advance the emergency medical systems in the National Parks areas to ensure the safety of tourists, park officials, park rangers and local people. Currently, more than 150 emergency service areas have been established and the Medical Emergency personnel development and training is an ongoing project in order to standardize a medical emergency operation in the National Park areas.

The National institute for Emergency medicine and National park have signed the MOU to advance the emergency medical systems in the areas of National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department

Mr. Anucha Setthasathien, M.D., secretary general of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEMS) states that the Memorandum of Understanding was made and aimed to promptly, timely and publicly serve emergency medical services to people, tourists and National park officials. The purpose of this MOU is to promote Emergency medical system, to enhance effective information technology organization too comprehensively and efficiently serve public, and most importantly, to meet an emergency medical services standard operating procedures. NIEMS is in charge of educating and provide a training course to involved officials and stakeholders.

The Secretary General of the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEMS) adds that NIEMS will be responsible for promoting an emergency medical service in the National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation areas and also support and improve a digital communication system and information technologies.

Mr. Tanya Nethidhammakul, the Director General says that theNational Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation is aware of the significance of   prompt and effective emergency medical services which concern public, tourists, park officials especially the law enforcement who live in the affected area. Consequently, both NIEMS and National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservations are committed to cooperative efforts to establish the medical emergency operational system management and to organize an information and communications technology to enhance an appropriate emergency medical service National Park areas.

In addition, the Medical Emergency Personnel Development and training are provided as well as the Medical Emergency Information and Communication Technology Center are established in the National Park areas. Consequently, the National Park, Wildlife and Plant Conservation will be able to carry out this healthcare project to serve and rescue tourists and National Park officials in the areas in case of emergency and do transfer of patients appropriately.

According to the collaborative agreement for cooperation in the development of EMS in the National Park since 2011 until now, we have already developed more than 150 service areas to assist tourists, Park officials and the local. Public can call 1669 for medical emergency assistance in a timely manner and reduce losses that may occur and ensure safety for tourists.
